In Romania 6 out of 10 Romanians said they are satisfied with the space in which they live, with respondents between the ages of 25 and 34 (71%), those over 55 (67%) and those who have built a house in the last two years or who are in the process of building a house (66%), according to a study conducted by Reveal Marketing Research.
The study revealed that only 9% of respondents say they are dissatisfied with the space in which they live, especially respondents between the ages of 45 and 54 (12%).
Romanians see the home as an extension of who they are, and what they do within the walls of their home shapes their mood, affects productivity and influences their outlook on life.
According to the analysis at a national level, the top 3 elements that contribute to keeping the house warm are windows, insulation and masonry materials. 8 out of 10 Romanians consider that the masonry materials used in construction are conducive to keeping the house warm.
Romanian are most satisfied with houses built with AAC (69% satisfaction degree) and bricks (60% satisfaction degree). On the other end of the scale, Romanians who say they are dissatisfied are those who live in adobe and concrete vault houses/apartment buildings.
The research reveals that the main concerns that worry Romanians in their homes are repair costs (55%), electricity bill (54%) and maintenance costs (54%).
The collection method for the project was CAWI (computer assisted web interview). The data was collected on a nationally representative sample (urban and rural), 820 interviews. The margin of error is +/-3%.
