Romania‘s National Institute of Statistics (INS) announced on Wednesday that the country’s unemployment rate decreased to 5% in September from 5.2% in the previous month, according to a press release.
The number of unemployed (aged 15 – 74) at the end of September 2021 was estimated at 416,000, a decrease compared to August (428,000).
By gender, the unemployment rate among women was 4.7% compared to 5.3% among men.
The unemployment rate among adults aged between 25 and 74 was estimated at 4.1%. The percentage of unemployed people aged between 25 and 74 in the total number of unemployed was 76.6% in September.
