Romanian low-cost carrier Blue Air announced on Wednesday that it will cancel some of its flights scheduled for January and February due to low demand caused by new Covid-19 restrictions imposed in some European countries, according to See News.
„Passengers have adopted a cautious behavior during this period,” Blue Air representatives said in a press release.
„We notice that, due to travel restrictions, many passengers rescheduled their trips in January and February, focusing on booking holidays around the Easter and summer holidays,” said Blue Air general manager Oana Petrescu.
Blue Air will focus on its summer programme with increased capacity and a renewed fleet, planning more than 50 new destinations in the summer.
Blue Air, the only air carrier in Romania with 100% domestic capital, started operations in December 2004. The company has so far transported over 32 million passengers over 340 million km.
