Romania‘s annual inflation rate in September increased to 6.3% compared to 5.3% in August, according to the country’s National Institute of Statistics (INS).
INS announced on Tuesday that consumer prices were up 0.8% in September 2021 from August 2021 and the inflation rate since the beginning of the year (September 2021 compared to December 2020) is 5.6%.
„The average consumer price rate over the last 12 months (October 2020-September 2021) as compared to the previous 12 months (October 2019-September 2020) is 3.6%.
The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) in September 2021 compared to the previous month is 100.83% and the HICP-based annual inflation rate in September 2021 compared to the previous year is 5.2%.
