8 persons, including Romanians, were rescued by the British police out of a farm in Hampshire
According to the Irish Times’ online edition, 8 persons, including Romanians, were rescued by the British police out of a farm in Hampshire, in south-west Britain, following an investigation on the exploitation in conditions similar to slavery.
The eight men, aged 21 to 46, were from Romania, Poland and Latvia and were on the Little Testwood farm in Calmore. The victims were transported to a special center for conciliation and help.
After searching the farm, the police confiscated industrial equipment which was, most likely, stolen. Also, a 27 year old man from Luton was arrested on slavery charges.
