Military doctor Valeriu Gheorghiță, the national vaccination campaign coordinator, told Digi FM that Romania might have a fourth anti-COVID vaccine available by April, which is produced by Johnson & Johnson.

Gheorghiță said that the vaccine produced by Johnson & Johnson is expected to be authorized by the European Medicines Agency in the middle of March, according to romaniajournal.ro.

Gheorghiță said that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine has a very high efficiency, and it has only one dose to be administered.

Johnson & Johnson announced on February 16 that Janssen-Cilag International N.V. had submitted a conditional Marketing Authorization Application (cMAA) to the European Medicines Agency (EMA) to seek authorization for the single-dose Janssen COVID-19 vaccine candidate.
