Romania recorded the EU‘s highest annual inflation rate in February, at 7.1%, followed by Croatia with 4.8%, the EU’s statistical office said on Monday, according to See News.
Romania also marked the highest monthly rise in consumer prices among EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE) last month, at 0.8%, Eurostat said in a data release.
In contrast, Greece posted the lowest monthly increase in consumer prices among EU members in SEE, at 0.1%, while the EU as a whole registered a monthly inflation of 0.6%.
Greece recorded the lowest annual inflation in the region in February, as well, at 3.1%, slightly higher than the EU average of 2.8%.
