President Iohannis and Polish counterpart attend Justice Sword Exercise 21

President Klaus Iohannis and his Polish counterpart, Andrzej Duda were present on Tuesday at the multinational military exercise „Justice Sword 21” in Smârdan commune, Galati county.

The two Heads of State participated in the Day of Distinguished Visitors on the occasion of the military exercise „Justice Sword 21”, which took place at the Smârdan Training Center.

Poland contributed with forces and technical means deployed in Romania within the Adapted Presence on the Allied Eastern Flank, from the structures of the NATO Multinational Brigade from Craiova.

The exercise aimed to verify the capacity of the participating structures to execute the actions and measures established by the planning documents and the achievement of the support Romania provides to the military forces and equipment transiting the national territory, according to Agerpres. 

Justice Sword 21 / Steadfast Defender 21 is a tactical exercise, LIVEX type (combined tactical exercise, with real shots), connected to DACIA 21 LIVEX, which uses a fictitious scenario and aims to improve the ability to plan, lead and conduct combat actions in a multinational context.

The Polish President, Andrzej Duda is on an official visit to our country, at the invitation of Klaus Iohannis.
