The hydrocarbon production of Romania‘s top oil and gas group OMV Petrom dropped to 113.5 thousand barrels of oil equivalent (kboe) per day in the third quarter of 2023 from 117.2 kboe per day in the same period of 2022, the company said on Monday, according to See News.
OMV Petrom’s daily hydrocarbon production in the third quarter of 2023 was lower compared to the second quarter of 2023, when it produced 113.7 kboe per day.
Total daily hydrocarbon sales volume amounted to 107.9 kboe per day in the July-September period, down from 112 kboe per day in the same period of 2022.
Total sales of refined products were flat at 1.51 million tonnes in the third quarter of 2023, the same amount as in the prior-year period.
The volumes of gas sales to third parties rose to 8.6 terawatt-hour (TWh) in the third quarter, from 6.92 TWh in the like period from a year earlier.
Net electricity output rose to 1.48 TWh in the third quarter, compared to 1.42 TWh in the same period of 2022.
OMV Petrom said it will publish its third-quarter financial report on October 31.
Austria’s OMV Aktiengesellschaft holds a 51.15% stake in OMV Petrom. Romania owns a 20.7% stake, while 28.14% is floating freely on the stock exchanges in Bucharest and London.
