U.S. intelligence has been suspecting this for some time, but, as per usual when it comes to North Korean news, nothing has been confirmed.
In a statement published by the KCNA (Korean Central News Agency), the North Korean military declared:
We have had the capability of miniaturizing nuclear warheads, as well as producing multiform weapons, for some time […]We can also guarantee the accuracy not only of short-to-mid-range but also long-range rocket launches, for which we have had the technology for a long time.
The commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command, Admiral Bill Gortney, stated that they are not aware of any test of the presumed missile system, fortunately.
It is estimated that North Korea could already house 10 to 15 nuclear weapons and that the number will grow each year.
