German airline Lufthansa will operate four flights a week on the Iași-Frankfurt route starting on May 21, according to Romania-Insider.
Vasile Stoicea, the interim director of Iasi Airport, emphasized that the new route will help the local business environment. According to the management of Iași Airport, this is the first time that the city of Iași has established a link to Frankfurt. Flights will be scheduled on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Passengers can already buy tickets from Lufthansa’s website.
„Iasi Airport is the first airport in Moldova that has a direct connection with Frankfurt, which means that it will be able to attract customers from as far as Chisinau, Republic of Moldova,” said Stoicea.
