The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) announced on Tuesday that Romanian e-commerce platform Elefant Online started trading its new bond issue worth RON 17,469,900 on the Multilateral Trading System of BVB, under the symbol ELF26.
The private placement in November 2021 and the listing of the bonds were done with the support of the brokerage company Tradeville, according to a press release.
BVB stated that this is the second bond issue of Elefant Online listed on the BVB. In 2018, Elefant was the first company in its industry to issue bonds through a private placement. The issue at that time consisted of 76,514 bonds with a nominal value of RON 100/bond and a fixed interest rate of 9.00%/year. The bonds were paid back in full on time on September 27, 2021.
Since 2020, the company has launched a marketplace platform through which both small commercial companies and larger retailers can join as partners to benefit from the company’s online platform and logistics services.
