The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) announced on Monday that One United Properties (ONE) and Transport Trade Services (TTS) shares will be included as of December 20 in FTSE Russell indices for Emerging Markets, FTSE Global All Cap and FTSE Global Micro Cap, respectively.
One United Properties, a real estate developer of premium residential projects is the fifth Romanian company included in FTSE Global All Cap indices, joining Banca Transilvania, Nuclearelectrica, OMV Petrom and TeraPlast. Transport Trade Services, a freight carrier on the Danube river is the second Romanian company in FTSE Global Micro Cap indices, joining Bittnet.
BVB stated that FTSE Russell’s decision comes in less than 6 months after the listing of the two companies on the Main Market. ONE was listed on July 12, following an initial public offering worth RON 260 mln. At the end of Friday’s trading session, the company had a market capitalization of RON 2.9 bln (EUR 589 mln).
TTS went public on June 14, following a secondary public offering worth RON 288 mn. At the end of Friday’s trading session, the company had a market capitalization of RON 687 mn (EUR 138.8 mn).
Romania’s upgrade by FTSE Russell on September 21, 2020, among the Emerging Markets, opened the way for the local capital market to a wider investment universe and with the increase in the number of investors, the demand for the assets listed on BVB increased.
