America’s Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) has created a ‘smart bullet’ which changes its course in order to successfully hit a moving target.
The team has not released any information regarding the technology behind the self-steering bullets, but it is believed that they work due to small fins on the sides that guide them towards the target, which is tracked with laser technology.
Moreover, the technology increases both the range and the accuracy of the shooters. In the video released by the agency, an untrained, first-time user of a sniper rifle successfully hits a moving target with ease.
